November 2004 Overall the month was cooler than the average (-2.0°C) and very dryer (-57 mm) than the average. in There were four days with frost and no extreem weather conditions. October 2004 Overall the month was cooler than the average (-1.0°C) and very much wetter (+45 mm) than the average in fact the month has been the wettest (118 mm) this year to date. September 2004 After a warm and dry start the month became cooler and damper. Overall the month was cooler than the average (-2.3°C) drier (-20 mm) than the average August 2004 Overall the month was cooler than the average (-2.5°C) and very much wetter (+93 mm) than the average in fact the month has been the wettest (117 mm) this year to date. July 2004 Overall the month was significantly cooler than the average (-1.9°C) and slightly wetter (+7 mm) than the average. There were no extreme weather events June 2004 Overall the month was cooler than the average (-1.4°C) and slightly drier (-4 mm) than the average. May 2004 Overall the month was cooler than the average (-1.4°C) and was also wetter (+11 mm) than the average. April 2004 Overall the month was slightly warmer than the average (+0.6°C) and was also considerably wetter (+60 mm) than the average. March 2004 Overall the month was colder than the average (-1.5°C) although the last day of the month was the hottest day of the year to-date (16.5°C & 22°C max day time temperature) The month was also drier (-18 mm) than the average. Rain fell on 14 days, there were only three days with frost and two mornings in the middle of the month were foggy. February 2004 Overall the month was both slightly colder -0.7°C and drier -30 mm than the average. There were no extreme conditions. January 2004 Overall the month was both warmer, +1.4°C and wetter, +36 mm than the average. The first three weeks of the month were exceptionally warm and wet (some form of precipitation occurred on a total of 23 days in the month). The last week of the month was colder and on 28th January a serve electrical storm occurred at about 6:30pm accompanied by a short period of snow( see Photographs) which lay for approx the next 36 hours.
